Rachel Truitt (Ballet, Jazz, Tap, & Hip Hop)
Rachel is a freelance dancer and choreographer for The Movement and INduztry talent agency. She studied dance at Kennesaw State University and was a member of Georgia Dance Theater; performing ballets including Copellia, Peter Pan, Nutcracker & West Side Story, as well as choreographing the contemporary works "Broken Dolls" and "Roads." Rachel has presented work for Gotta Dance's Passion to Dance Choreography Showcase and was featured in "Koru" at the Alliance Theater under the direction of Bubba Carr. Rachel also worked as a guest artist for the Tisch School of the Arts (NYU) Master Program.
She was honored to perform at Dance Canvas choreographed by Lonnie Davis and was a featured performer for the Super Bowl Halftime Show produced by Disney; the Falcons Halftime Show produced by Georgia Lottery; and an ESPN commercial featuring Charles Barkley. Rachel was a dancer and assistant to choreographer Jamie Parrish for Vampire Diaries on the CW, lead choreographer for Vampire Diaries, featured choreographer for Destined to Dance Awards and a body double for the movie "Scary Movie 5." Rachel was Choreographer and Artistic Director for In Regard Contemporary Showcase and "Remove the Ego" at KingPlow Arts Centre and featured choreographer for Phazes of Love 2013. Her work "Funeral" was invited to compete in the New York finals of the Youth America Grand Prix Ballet Competition.
Rachel is currently the Artistic Director of Gotta Dance Contemporary Company. GDC is in their 6th season, presenting "Surface" at 7 Stages Theatre in 2015.
