Megan Reardon-Johnson (Ballet & Modern)
Megan Johnson was born and raised in Atlanta. Her earliest days of dancing began with Impact Dance Atlanta under the Direction of Kari Carter, where she trained with Susan Banks Beebe, Amanda Neeley, and Tara Thibodeaux-Drew. Megan was a Dance Major with the Cobb County Center for Excellence in Performing Arts at Pebblebrook High School and then at North Atlanta School of the Arts on scholarship, training under Susan Banks Beebe, while maintaining a company position with Impact Dance Atlanta. Megan attended Belhaven University on a dance and academic scholarship before transferring to the Ballet Magnificat! Trainee Program.
Megan has also trained with Atlanta Ballet and spent the last 5 years as a company member with Georgia Dance Theater, under the direction of Sherri Davis. While with GDT, Megan has had the honor of dancing such lead roles as Maria in Sherri Davis’ original work of West Side Story the Ballet, demo-soloist in Giselle, Fleur De Lyes in Hunchback of Notre Dame, Lilac Ferry in Sleeping Beauty, Odette in Swan Lake, as well as Sugar Plum Fairy, Dewdrop, Snow Queen, Dolls, and Arabian lead in the Nutcracker. Additional professional performances include musical theater works such as The Will Roger’s Follies with Atlanta Lyric Theater, Copacabana and Pippin with CCCEPA, and Spellbound performed overseas in Scotland. Megan is passionate about raising up the next generation of dancers and instilling in them strength and confidence for not only the studio, but also in life.
